This section brings together legislative documents, methodical and information-analytic publications, materials of seminars and conferences on preservation, development and popularization of the intangible cultural heritage of Belarus.

Under the influence of rapid socio-economic processes in society, urbanization, globalization and the development of man-made factors, the disappearance of traditional culture is accelerating. The departure of the last living bearers of national traditions in the absence of interest in them among young people, as well as many other negative factors make it necessary to make constant efforts on the part of the state and all interested members of society to preserve, popularize and include the unique phenomena of national culture in international lists of elements of intangible cultural heritage. State legislative regulation provides an opportunity to create conditions for such work, and the presented methodological developments can help interested individuals and organizations.
